Position Title: Design Manager / Interactive and Graphic Designer
Report To: Chief Creative Officer
As the Design Director/Manager you will drive the execution of all visual and interactive content for clients and internal Group82 projects. In addition you will be an integral participant in the strategic design discussions that develop the concepts for the required designs.
Reporting to the chief creative officer, you will work closely with the Group82 account teams and client contacts to determine the communication objectives and technical requirements of each design task. You will be responsible for managing multiple design activities to ensure deliverables are completed and projects stay on schedule.
Develop and execute high quality creative solutions across a variety of media from online to print
Interpret client business and communications objectives and apply creative and strategic thinking to design tasks
Communicate regularly with client contacts to gather information and keep them advised of project progress
Research, design, and direct throughout all phases of the creative process, from concept to execution
Partner with account and development team to enhance and ensure the best possible customer experience for clients
Communicate, clarify and, when necessary, defend the creative idea as it moves from concept to refinement to deliveryInspire and motivate account teams as overall creative lead on major design programs
Strong portfolio of design projects across a variety of media
Preferred: 4+ years of experience within an agency environment working directly on client accounts.
Strongly Preferred: Work in an agency environment on B2B brands.
Preferred: B.A. in graphic design or other design related field.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to provide clear creative direction and feedback to ensure an efficient creative process
Deep understanding of uncluttered visual design; can distinguish between good and great design and can help good design become great
Able to solve complex information, communication and interaction challenges within a user-centered design process
Strong understanding of industry best practices, platforms and technologies in the digital channel, particularly as it applies to social media and mobile design
Excellent working knowledge of, and proficiency with design software tools including Adobe’s Creative Suite products, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash.
Excellent visual/conceptual and organizational skills.
